Theme of the Conference: Emerging Technologies and Automation in Space Mission Operations and Ground Segment

This conference is to associate and connect with the various space agencies, start-ups, industry and academia. The conference aims to bring in all space leaders together to share their views on existing technologies and its challenges, while previewing the state-of-the-art technologies that are being conceived globally to make space mission operations more secure and robust. The scope of the conference is to cover a wide range of topics related to mission operations management, advanced mission design, automation, large constellations management, present and future trends in ground station operations etc… while addressing the futuristic techniques in both upstream and downstream segments. Call for Paper

International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) is the technical sponsor of SMOPS-2023. The conference proceedings will be published in IAA proceedings and selected papers will be published in "Acta Astronautica", Journal of IAA.

Authors are requested to follow the standard format specified by the Journal. Authors will be redirected to IAA portal for paper submission; follow the instructions provided by IAA regarding the submission process and format.

The first edition of SMOPS is planned to be organized in Bengaluru, India during June 08-09, 2023.

The objective of this unique conference is to associate and connect with the various space agencies, start-ups, industry and academia within and outside India. The conference aims to bring all space leaders together to share their views on existing technologies and its challenges, while previewing the state-of-the-art technologies that are being conceived globally to make space mission operations more secure and robust. This conference will also provide a unique platform to boost the synergy between academia, industry and other space agencies.

The key focus of this conference will be on expert talks by internationally renowned professionals, oral/poster paper presentations by researchers and exhibition by global industries. SMOPS-2023 is a right opportunity to showcase state-of-the-art technologies, facilities and modelling tools available in/for space industries.
